Introducing The Mildred Complex(ity) ANNEX
art, textiles, workshops, projects – STUDIO
The Mildred Complex(ity) Project Space is a storefront gallery located at 37b Main Street, in The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance Building. We have been producing exhibitions for over 15 years on Main Street in the sweet hamlet of Narrowsburg, NY.
Mildred’s Lane, PA is the landscape, art-project-site, and lodge hosting artist residencies/retreats, overnight stays, and events since 1997– just across the bridge, deep in the woods above the Delaware River.
Mildred’s Lane Inc (ML, Inc) is the nonprofit organization now headquartered in Narrowsburg, NY. The recently formed .org includes dozens of artist Council Members co-curating programming and presenting exhibitions on both sides of the Delaware River. ML, Inc is slowly crawling along as a young art organization, persistently overcoming all obstacles during these political and economic times. We are not alone, and we shall overcome.
Mildred’s Lane Inc is now opening The Mildred Complex(ity) ANNEX to conjoin with the storefront project space – just a few doors down the street, through the Narrowsburg Mews, upstairs through a courtyard entrance, and upwards to a loft overlooking the town, the bridge, and the river, where we will further present art projects, artist talks, workshops, and opening receptions.
The ML, Inc residency program is coming out of the woods and onto Main Street, featuring textile and fiber-based art ecologies – the new TMC ANNEX will host a series of innovative artist-led workshops swarming around social and ecological topics – like worker bees – building sustainable ideas for the 21st century.
This October, The Mildred Complex(ity) ANNEX is launching with an installation by J. Morgan Puett: Past Works, Present Lives, and Possible Futures for Ecological Making–Doing–Living–BEING
