Arboreality | October 20-26, 2025

$1,600.00

1-week session

ARBOREAL(ity) is a multi-layered, interdisciplinary project reclaiming histories of the Upper Delaware Valley Region through discreet landscape interventions in the deep and dying forests. REALITY means the state of things as they exist on our warming planet, as opposed to an idealistic or speculative idea that it may not really be happening. The awareness we endeavor to share aims to recognize how little we know about the situation and to discuss what we can do about it – ARBOREAL(ity) is a transhistorical walk and awakening.

The Mildred’s Lane Forest at the edge of the Upper Delaware River faces sustainability challenges with numerous threats to our wooded landscape – the Ash trees are already dead, and the Hemlock trees are rapidly succumbing to pestilent insect species. We need to reveal other forthcoming threats and environmental horrors throughout the Upper Delaware River Region and Northeastern Corridor that will soon decimate these forests.

Mildred’s Lane is inviting artists, foresters, conservationists, architects, and other creative thinkers to envision the future of a landscape. Daily walks will accumulate into a study of the possibilities and tactics for a caring collaboration with the forest.

During daily walks and discussions, we will discover more about our environment by identifying trees and recognizing the invasive species that threaten them. We will envision and strategize, outlining how to navigate troubled landscapes in this era of rapid climate change.

Session fee is $1600 for the week. Inquire about pricing for the weekend experience:
