Blue Moon swarming
May 29 – June 1
A weekend swarming of magical discovery around a redoubtable Blue Moon amongst the enchanted art-site of Mildred’s Lane. A time of growth and resumption, we invite you to share in an intimate assembly – What is Magic? A Blue Moon is a deeply vigorous time for manifesting magic; and the moon will be
gleaming over the Spring evenings around the fires.
Social Saturday, May 30th, Pam Grossman will be present for an open conversation, critically questioning the histories of the contemporary movements and practices – what is it? And, how, who, where, and why. That special guest is present – and blue.
Pam Grossman is a writer, curator, and teacher of magical practice and history. She is the host of the internationally beloved podcast, The Witch Wave and the author of Magic Maker, Waking the Witch, and What Is A Witch. She is also coeditor and coauthor of the Witchcraft volume of Taschen’s Library of Esoterica series. Her writing has appeared in numerous media outlets, including The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Ms. Magazine, and she has been a featured speaker at venues including MoMA: The Museum of Modern Art, Columbia University, and IFC Center. She divides her time
The main lodge house is in the meadow and features eccentrically installed rooms filled with unique art collections and curiosities. Our library offers an extraordinary experience with a stone fireplace, various nonfiction and fiction works, and hundreds of books about all the artists gathered there over the years. The Kitchen Laboratory boasts a whimsical array of equipment that inspires you to craft your own Digestion Choreography. You can view images of the commons - the house and available rooms - via the Comfort-O-Meter here.
